SMDC is currently based and operated in East Tennessee. We support women and children throughout Appalachia by providing non-residential programs to overcome life-controlling issues. We facilitate jail programs, school programs, and feeding programs throughout East TN. Ultimately, we will provide residential housing, job training, and educational training for these women as they leave incarceration, as well as a leadership ranch for children to grow and develop, all on our debt free 94 acre farm in Cocke County Tennessee. We also serve rural Appalachian communities that wish to start non-residential programs in their hometowns by providing training and supplies for overcoming life-controlling issues. Contact us if you are interested in starting a program in your Appalachian community and we will do our best to help.
SMDC is currently assembling a board of directors. Candidates must be filled with the Spirit, unwavering integrity, and influential in their communities. They must be willing to serve with their time, talents, and treasures for the glory of God and the advancement of his Kingdom in the lives of the least of these. Unity is of upmost importance and decisions will be based on the guidance of scripture to the best of our abilities.
